On 10 December 2024 the EHC is organising a Round Table discussion on Working Together on Rare Diseases – Shared Decision-Making for Advanced Technologies, chaired by Dr Maria Elisa Mancuso (EHC Medical Advisory Group Chair) hosting MEP Tomislav Sokol (EPP, Croatia) and MEP Vytenis Andriukaitis (S&D, Lithuania).
In the context of the ongoing revision of the EU Pharmaceutical Legislation, the EHC believes it is crucial to put patients at the centre of it. Therefore, the aim of the event is to create a unique opportunity to discuss and share perspectives on the importance of shared decision-making in implementing advanced technologies for the treatment of bleeding disorders, involving patients, healthcare professionals, and policy-makers.
Travel Grants for EHC NMOs
As a new initiative this year, the EHC is piloting a small grant programme to help a wider group of EHC National Member Organisations (NMOs) access and benefit from the EHC Round Tables in Brussels.
The EHC will cover the travel costs up to €600 (1 night of accommodation included) for up to 10 NMO representatives to participate in this Round Table.
The EHC will approve the requests based on the following criteria:
- Whether the NMO or NMO member has a current specific and relevant interest in the topic of the Round Table;
- Whether the NMO or NMO member is currently advocating on the topic of the Round Table;
- Whether the NMO is planning a programme or project on the topic of the Round Table in the near future;
- Initially in this process, preference will be given to NMOs or NMO members who have not attended previous Round Tables.
To apply, please send an email to the EHC Staff Contact Person, Roberta Sadauskaite, at [email protected]
Please note: if an EHC NMO member confirms attendance but does not attend, the EHC won’t fund the travel grant. Hence, taking travel insurance is highly recommended.
