We are delighted to introduce you to our latest EHC addition, Roberta Sadauskaitė, who joined us in September 2024 as Public Policy Lead.

Roberta, welcome to the EHC, can you tell us more about yourself?

I was born and raised in Lithuania, where I graduated from Vytautas Magnus University with a Bachelor’s in International Politics and Development Studies and a Master’s in International Development from Sciences Po Paris. Having been interested in politics and development since high school, I have become passionate about health policy during my studies where I had the privilege to learn about global health from world-renowned experts.

I joined the Brussels bubble in 2018 as a Policy Assistant at the European Public Health Alliance to pursue a career in health policy. This inspiring experience made me even more motivated to continue this path and shaped my future career goals. Over the last few years, I had the pleasure of working with some incredible experts in public health, like the European Respiratory Society and APCO, where I learnt a lot about civil society and the private sector, advocacy, project management, and the EU health policy.

What attracted you to join the EHC?

In my professional life, I strive to make a meaningful impact in the field of health. Working with the EHC community to improve the quality of life of people living with rare bleeding disorders provides an incredibly rewarding opportunity, both at personal and professional levels.

What are your main priorities at the EHC?

My main priority at the EHC is advocating for regulatory and legislative policies that improve the quality of life of people living with rare bleeding disorders. I will also engage with stakeholders, monitor policy developments, and influence decision-making processes to support the EHC community.

What do you enjoy doing outside work in your free time?

I am an avid book reader and a yoga enthusiast. In my free time, I love spending some quality time with my family and friends – usually with some delicious food involved. I also enjoy spending time in nature, exploring new places and long walks with my dog.
