Olivia joined the EHC team in April 2024 after serving the EHC community as a volunteer for many years and in different roles: Steering Committee member and interim President.

Focused on equal treatment access for all, youth education, and NMO capacity building, Olivia was elected to the Steering Committee of the EHC from 2013 until 2020 and has been the EHC Youth Advisor since its establishment. She was co-opted to join the EHC Steering Committee again in January 2023. In July 2023, the EHC Steering Committee unanimously appointed  Olivia Romero Lux to assume the role of President in an interim caretaking capacity until the end of the term in October 2023 after the resignation of Declan Noone.

With a proven track record of dedication and experience, Olivia brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to our organisation. Her commitment to the current vision and strategic objectives as well as her innovative and balanced approach to challenges will guide EHC through our next phase of growth and development.

Fiona joined the EHC in 2017 and is currently one of the Community Programmes Officers, with her work focusing on youth-related activities including training and workshops and the Youth Fellowship Programme.

Fiona previously worked for the Irish Haemophilia Society for eight years. Fiona has a Degree and Master’s in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin and is currently completing her PhD in Psychotraumatology.

Daria joined the EHC in December 2021 as its Public Policy and Communications Officer with her role gradually evolving. As of 2025, Daria is the EHC Education and Communications Manager.  

Initially, she started her career in international affairs. Daria then switched to international business and worked in various thematic areas, including media, science, technology, and youth. She has a long track record in partnership building, stakeholder- and project management, and team leadership.

A native Russian, Daria holds two master’s degrees in international relations and foreign policy and economics. Daria speaks Russian, English, and French languages, progresses in Italian. In her free time, she plays the violin and manages an art club.

In her current capacity, Daria manages the main educational projects of the EHC: Health Economics Course, EHCucate, and VWD Educational Programme. She also oversees the EHC Academy. As Communications Manager, she is responsible for all communications work of the EHC, including management of the websites and social media of the organisation and elaboration and execution of the main PR campaigns. Daria also supervises Camilla Lombardi, EHC Communications and Project Officer.

Zita joined the EHC in 2022 as a Think Tank Officer.

Before joining EHC, Zita worked for various Brussels-based membership organisations focusing on communications, event organisation and project management. Besides her work with the EHC, Zita also works as a nutritionist and health coach, focusing on mental and physical well-being.

Zita has an academic background in International Relations. She is a Hungarian national and speaks Hungarian, English and Dutch.

Camilla joined the EHC in 2024 to work closely with Daria on communications and projects.

Growing up in Italy, she graduated from the University of Bologna with a Bachelor’s in Political, Social, and International Sciences and a Master’s in Mass Media and Politics. Between 2018 and 2021 she volunteered and worked as a freelance in journalism, before discovering European civil society organisations. 

Once in Brussels, Camilla gained significant work experience at the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Civic Forum, the European Health Management Association, and Autism-Europe.

Camilla is passionate about writing, music and creative expression in general. Having a strong sense of social justice, she wishes her work to have a meaningful social impact. She speaks Italian, English, and (when she doesn’t feel too shy) French.

Stéphanie joined the EHC team in October 2024 to work closely with Rumana on administrative tasks. She has always been interested in healthcare and well-being, so the EHC is a perfect fit.

Stéphanie grew up in Brussels and has a Bachelor’s degree in social work. She previously worked in several Belgian organisations in the disability sector, in psychiatry, assistance to young people and helping homeless women in a shelter (for ten years). She volunteered at the Brugmann Hospital during the Covid19 crisis. Through her experience on the ground, she acquired excellent organisational skills and an in-depth understanding of Belgian organisations.

Stéphanie wants to make a difference at her own scale and be a part of something bigger. She is passionate about music, drawing and arts in general. She speaks French, English and is learning Spanish.

In her current capacity, main tasks of Stéphanie include:

• Performs logistical support to organise EHC small-scale events;
• Coordinates the work with the social secretariat and manages EHC insurance;
• Handles mail & office email;
• Is responsible for office maintenance;
• Tracks and reports volunteer timesheets.

Rumana Molla joined the EHC in 2021 and is currently the Finance and Administration Manager. 

She was born in the USA and brought up in Belgium. She graduated from IHECS (Brussels) in Mass Communication. She spent several years working as a Communication Officer at La Poste and subsequently at FEBE. She also spent some time in India, working in the television and film industry.

Rumana speaks English, French, Dutch, Hindi, Bengali and some Spanish.

In her role, Rumana:

• Performs day-to-day accounting tasks, payments, encoding invoices, oversees and reviews expenses and credit card reports etc.;
• Oversees the EHC’s administrative and financial responsibilities’
• Presents financial and analytical reports to the CEO and Treasurer;
• Oversees the audit;
• Manages the administrative aspect of sponsorships;
• Supervises and conducts yearly reviews with the Administration officer.

Stefan joined the EHC Staff in December 2024 as Patient Engagement and Community Lead, after being involved as a volunteer in bleeding disorder patient organisations in Serbia and internationally for many years. He has severe haemophilia A, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in law.

His greatest passion is patient advocacy, and he has been especially passionate about improving youth engagement within the bleeding disorders community. Hence, Stefan was the President of the Youth Committee of the Serbian Haemophilia Society and a member of the EHC Youth Committee between 2018 and 2024.

In 2020, he was also co-opted as EHC Steering Committee Member, a role in which he served until the new elections in October 2024. Stefan strives to continue improving the lives of those affected by bleeding disorders through cooperation with the entire community.

Stefan’s main responsibilities at the EHC include overseeing the European Rare and Inhibitor Network (ERIN) and the Youth Committee, managing key activities and events, such as the EHC Leadership Conference, Youth Leadership Workshop, Youth Alumni Event, and ERIN Summit. He is also responsible for the Youth Fellowship Programme and serves as a liaison for some selected NMOs.

Roberta joined the EHC in September 2024 as its Public Policy Lead.

Before joining the EHC, Roberta worked for various public health stakeholders, including European Respiratory Society and APCO, where she gained experience in civil society and private sector, advocacy, project management, and EU health policy.

A native Lithuanian, Roberta holds a master’s degree in international development from Sciences Po Paris and a bachelor’s degree in international politics and development from Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. Roberta speaks Lithuanian, English, and Italian, and has a limited proficiency in French and Russian.

Stavroula joined the EHC in December 2024 as new Project Assistant, bringing valuable experience in event organisation and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients through impactful projects.

Prior to joining the EHC, she worked as a trainee at the European Economic and Social Committee, where she gained expertise in building partnerships and fostering meaningful dialogue among diverse stakeholders.

Originally from Greece, Stavroula holds a degree in Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies from the University of Macedonia and a Master’s in European Policy and Public Administration from KU Leuven. She is a native Greek speaker, fluent in English, and has a basic knowledge of Russian and French.

Stavroula is deeply passionate about youth inclusivity and actively volunteers for initiatives that empower and support young people.
